The Swiss Finance Institute offers a three- to four-year Doctoral Program in Finance featuring a world class curriculum of advanced courses,
regular academic seminars and intensive doctoral mentoring across FINRISK member institutions at the University of Geneva, Lausanne, Lugano, St. Gallen,
Zurich and at ETH Zurich.
As part of the Program, FINRISK coordinates specialized advanced doctoral courses taught by internationally recognised finance faculty
from Europe and North America. The structured nature of the program makes it comparable with programs offered at the top Anglo-Saxon Universities.
The Program attracts outstanding doctoral candidates from all over the world and currently comprises an enrolment of more than 100 student affiliates.
This makes it perhaps the largest in Europe and comparable in size to the very largest doctoral schools in the US.
Doctoral candidates benefit from a high degree of coordination of the Program across participating institutions. This has been achieved by
forging synergies between the existing doctoral schools in Switzerland, and thus extending the benefits of the FINRISK initiative in doctoral education to a
large number of students in Switzerland and from all over the world.
