08. December 2006 New Research Project

In November 2006, the FINRISK International Scientific Council selected a new NCCR individual research project among four submitted project proposals. As of January 2007, Prof. Bernard Dumas from HEC Lausanne and Swiss Finance Institute will head the new FINRISK project A4 on "Equilibrium Asset Pricing", which will become part of the NCCR Module A on "Asset Pricing and Portfolio Management".
Funding for this new research project will be provided by the Swiss Finance Institute.

FINRISK wishes to extend a warm welcome to Professor Dumas and his research team.
We look forward to a fruitful interaction and stimulating debate on this new research topic!

01. March 2006 Cooperation with Swiss Finance Institute

Finrisk has signed a cooperation agreement with the Swiss Finance Institute concerning the management and coordination of fundamental research, doctoral education and knowledge transfer activities. The cooperation is motivated by the desire to enhance efficiency and coordination among Switzerland's pool of talent and expertise in academic finance. The agreement confirms Finrisk's position as an academic partner of choice in finance research.

The Swiss Finance Institute is a private foundation created in 2005 by the banking and the finance community of Switzerland together with several Swiss universities. The institute aims to advance research activity in finance and to support doctoral research and executive education in the banking and finance industry as well as organising interfacing activities between research and the industry.
